With the release of the x40 series tomtom devices next month, (overseas that is), who knows when they will arrive in Australia!, anyway the latest navcore has been hacked and modified to work on older navcore devices.
This new version looks very nice, I have attached some screenshots for you to look at. click here and here
The one thing I did notice was when I navigated home all the the time it asked me if I would like to avoid unpaved roads. Now the roads have been paved for over 5 years but the map still thinks its a dirt road. anyway finally there is an option to turn this annoying message off
I have tested it on my TomTom 720 and everything seems OK.
It is also very easy to install.
here are the instructions:
1. Extract the file navcore_SE_8.203.9717_basicpack.rar and Se_ttsystem.8203.9717.rar
2. Copy the contents of these over the top of your current navcore installation.
3. Rename the file “system5.5106″ to “system”
4. Restart your device!
Thats it, well thats all I did anyway and everything worked. I will also try it with my GO 910 and let you people know if it works!
Email me if you would like the two files I mentioned, I only have limited bandwith

The weekend following the fence was construction of the great wall. This didn’t take that long as once the bottom was complete the rest just stack together. Anyway it’s all complete apart from the steps which I will do later. The next step is to get the bobcat in to level the soil in the back yard.
In other news… Internet Explorer has been pissing me off lately, mainly because it is running slow and takes forever to load web pages. So I have moved on to Firefox, Heaps faster and tons more features like ad blocking, and it has its own accelerated download manager so I have given Flashget the flick.
This weekend we are off camping over near bacchus marsh.
And well done to Chris for completing his 365 Day photo project and for getting a much better job that I’m sure he will enjoy!
You may also have noticed the QR Barcode on the left; I have downloaded an app for the iPhone that will read these barcodes just by taking a photo of them and deciphering what the code is. I’m sure the novelty will wear off but it’s a bit of fun.

This weekend just gone was very productive; Deborah’s Brother and I spent Saturday Pouring concrete in the holes and on the Sunday building a fence.
The purpose is to expand the area where the kids can play and keep the dogs in a separate section of the back yard. The little fence we had was not up to doggy standard as they kept jumping over. So now there is no chance of them getting over this new fence.
This weekend coming will be stage 2, Finishing the Retaining wall.

I have been in Sydney the last two days, catching up on all the newest developments on ZCM 10.1
Monday was an 8:30am start and as I was flying there the same day it was up and gone from home at 4:30am so I could make it to the airport and get to Sydney on time. Anyway about 9:30am North Sydney lost power till around 2:00pm. Sort of made the day a bit of a waste as we needed the computers to be able to do stuff. Anyway to make it up to us Novell took us all out to dinner that night.
Tuesday was un-eventful we managed to catch up from the time lost on monday. and finish at 4:00pm, I had to hang around till 7:15pm for my flight back to Melbourne. Not a lot to do at the airport. Anyway I’m ready for the ZCM exam I need to take before the 27th of this month.
Also just want to mention that my blog is now iPhone friendly, so for those people that are unfortunate enough to have one like me you can view my blog all nice and neat like on your iphone.

Last night on the way home I got to drag race the new Nissan GT-R in my WRX, boy those things are slow. I even managed to take a picture with my iPhone.
Just kidding, This $80,000 car looked nice, I guess it was on its way to one of the nissan dealerships around the south eastern suburbs.
This car is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 giving 473 HP and 360kw, it will do 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 310km/h

Well after months of putting up with my old xbox shutting down randomly, I picked up a bargin replacement xbox the other day.
It had been a while since I have modified an xbox, so I was a little rusty, thanks to andrew for the Agent under fire 007 game and his Save game hack. I had the xbox modified in no time.
I have also installed the latest XBMC with the HD skin, All these new features I could be stuck playing around for hours.
So now my old xbox, the faulty one is up for sale on ebay.

Well after having a blackberry at my last job I was fond of the Notify Sonar sound. Up until today I have searched everywhere for it and good news I have found the complete collection of Pre-Installed Blackberry sounds and ringtones.
Apparently you can not copy these files or export them from any blackberry as they have been locked by RIM. Not the case as someone has done it…
If anyone is interested you can download them here
Now I have the Sonar sound as a new email on my iPhone. and due to apple restirctions you cant change the sounds unless you gain access to the root of you iPhone and overwrite the sounds currently there making sure you keep the same name as the original.
